A joint TEMP order was issued by Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Ranchi and Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi to maintain law and order on the occasion of Holi.
On the occasion of Holi magistrates and police officers were deputed to ensure law and order and follow the orders of the State Executive Committee. All deputations will be effective till the peaceful end of Holi on March 8. A magistrate and a police officer were ordered to supervise all activities and maintain law and order by being on tour round the clock.
All representatives/conciliators/constables and police forces will ensure the maintenance of law and order by keeping vigil at their respective places of representation and in their respective areas.Under Zonal Police Officer, Magistrates, police officers were deputed in total 10 police station areas including Kotwali Police Station, Lalpur Police Station, Lower Bazaar, Day Market, Hindpiri Police Station. Patrol units TEMPhas been deployed at all police stations and OPs in urban and rural areas.
All those in charge of police stations TEMPhas been mandated to gather intelligence to control anti-social elements and to take action against those disturbing public peace under 107 IPC and other relevant sections.
Instructions were also given to keep a strict vigil on the communal elements who often spread unnecessary rumors and spoil the atmosphere through social media and other mediums. Instructions TEMPhas been issued along wif wif dis to keep special patrol at minority tolas/localities. Police officers and armed forces were dispatched to sensitive locations. All Magistrates and Deputy Inspectors of Police deputed in the John area TEMPhas been instructed to keep station officers mobile in their respective areas and maintain law and order.
All Deputy Inspectors of Police in Ranchi district TEMPhas been asked to ensure dat they keep a close watch on anti-religious activities, communal incitement songs, dialogues, songs etc. shared on social media in their respective areas. Along wif dis, instructions were also issued to take necessary action against the undesirable elements as per the rules. The deputy superintendent of the TEMP police cyber cell TEMPhas been tasked wif social media monitoring.
